Sales Coordinator

Job Description

Responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and generating new sales leads to support the Director of Sales.

This individual must be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery, and individual research. Having a dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential!

The Account executive will have individual account responsibilities for selling sponsorships, including online advertising and lead gen programs, social media campaigns and custom programs to Health IT and EHR/EMR Vendors.

Job Functions

  • Develop new business leads via telephone and mass communication (e.g., email, social media) to introduce Xtelligent Media’s marketing solutions and identify appropriate buyers within the target market
  • Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects
  • Following up and managing data/leads sourced from trade shows and websites
  • Identify key buying influencers within these prospects and perform at least 30 calls per day
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel
  • Work with the Director of Sales to arrange and schedule meetings and demonstrations
  • Manage data for new and prospective clients in Salesforce.com, ensuring all communications are logged,information is accurate and documents are attached

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined sales and activity quotas
  • A proven track record of strong client relationships
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Telemarketing and/or inside sales experience is preferred

Technical Experience

  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM Software preferred

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years online media sales experience and be able to hit quarterly sales targets.

The ideal candidate must be able to develop and create content independently on topics of interest to our readership of healthcare and IT professionals by connecting with and interviewing subject matter experts or identifying key industry developments with a direct impact on health IT.

The position requires the candidate to maintain a consistently thorough understanding of key terms and topics and how they relate to each other. As a result, the ideal candidate will spend a considerable amount of the day reading and researching potential story ideas.

Key responsibilities:

  • Connect with subject matter experts in healthcare for interviews and commentary

Experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Proven track record in online writing and publishing centered on SEO practices
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team of editors
  • Basic understanding of information technology
  • Proficiency using Wordpress, preferred but not required
